Taken over the holidays, I really like the light in this photo and it really shows off the 5D and the IS lens well. Taken at 1/15 (!) and an ISO of 1600, it came out better than I thought it would. I did do a little clean-up with Noise Ninja, but that was it.

Didn’t actually intend to take such a long break over the holidays, but I did and now I’m back.
Today it’s cold and raining as I sit, once again, behind my desk at the day job. This photo, however, was taken last Saturday when we were experiencing a one-day shot of 80 degree weather.
Winter in Texas–it’s like that.

The latest addition to the nothing series, which indulges my interest in empty spaces. Not simply a form of abstraction or minimalism, but these photos are more about what’s missing. Think of them as empty stages, blank slates–potential. Perhaps the frame you’re seeing was taken a just bit too late or maybe a bit too early, in which case you should stick around a while so you don’t miss the show.
